Final Project Plan
Laying out the time line and a little story board for my final animation going to try and get all the techniques into separate blog posts and post them all in the upcoming week. My overall plan is to create a 15-20 second animation if i am going to do that with hand drawn frames it would take about 480 frames for the full animation and I should plan on making it loop so I can create a gif if I want for my demo reel.
Here is a short storyboard of what I am planning on doing for my final animation hopefully I am ablet o implement everything I planned and work out the smoothness of it. I am not worried about polish anymore I am just trying to cram as many new techniques as I can learn and have learned into this thing I definitely wasted a lot of time with polish and not knowing what to do for my project until now.
Step One: A focus on camera movement to try and nail the look of a real camera I think I have some of the know how already to pull this off because of my actual practical video camera skills, but I will need to do some further research into animating with camera movement.
Step Two: I want to stay stationary on the shot of the house for a bit but I want more motion than just the waterfall moving so I may try to add some sway to the trees in the background I also want to darken the background behind the trees to signal some kind of storm rolling in.
Step Three: I wanted initially the fog to roll in first but I thought that it wouldn't make sense for fog to roll in before the rain if it was previously a nice day out and that the rain cooling the temperature would create the fog after the rain stops. So I am going to switch the rain and fog scenes on my storyboard I'll have to look up how to do the fog technique and I will have to look up how to do better rain because I already have some semblance of what I need to for to get that done.
Step Four: After the rain stop stops and the fog rolls in I want to be able to show the sun peaking out of the clouds and clearing away the fog with its heat and maybe get some practice with animating sunbeams in there a little bit.
Step Five: Wrap everything up in a nice little bow maybe add some sound effects to the animation because what is video without sound and create my video presentation for the class.
I realize this is a lot to get done in the next week and change but I am sure that I will be able to put it all together in the end and if I lose some of the animated aspects due to time then at least I'll have something to show for my final project.
